Elise Performs in Aladdin

Elise's grade focused on the unit "Performance" for the last several weeks at school, culminating in the performance of Aladdin.  This unit was all about performing, and the kids did things like writing scripts, getting a backstage tour of the Zürich opera house, building sets, developing programs and marketing materials, and performing an amazing play.
All 3 fourth-grade classes worked together to put on the show. Elise was a narrator - a role she wasn't happy about when she first got it, but it actually turned out to be a very important role. She was on stage a lot, singing, dancing, and moving around to the various characters. She had many solo singing parts and did a very nice job. She was very confident onstage.
They performed the show three times during the school day for different grades of students, then there were two evening performances for parents. Our whole family went on Monday night, and I went again on Tuesday. The entire performance was amazing, and it was so fun to see the different kids playing their parts. Great job, Elise!
