Merry Christmas 2009! We had a nice day at home, opening presents in the morning and having fondue (both cheese and chinois) with our new fondue sets, and chocolate fondue with our new chocolate fountain!

Santa brought the kids Star Wars DVDs along with some books, a telephone toy for Meredith, and the chocolate fountain for the whole family. Elise, Mom and Dad found scarves in our stockings, while the boys found slippers (and Elise got some pacifiers). Elise's big present from Mom and Dad was an iPod, Nathan got a SpeedRacer sled, and William got a game table with hockey, fussball, and lots of other games. Mer got clothes - and lots of fun boxes to open! As a family, we got a new tripod for the camera (with a remote), so we can get all of those family shots more easily. The kids gave each other thoughtful presents - including Star Wars sticker books for the boys from Elise. Elise even bought mom a beautiful wool scarf with her own money (now she says she's broke!). We all enjoyed opening presents from grandparents and friends far away - thank you so much for all of your kindness!
We're so thankful for the true meaning of Christmas - our Savior Jesus Christ. We have a tradition each Christmas of writing down one gift that we will each give to Christ during the coming year - something we will do or strive to become better at during the year. May we all feel the spirit of Christ and try to be like Him all year round!
